The National Association of Broadcasters: OK2TALK campaign was featured in this week’s issue of PRNews. A piece of work the Ogilvy Washington Creative Studio is incredibly proud to have worked on, we love the opportunity to share insights behind the creative. Junia Geisler, Vice President in the Social Marketing Practice at Ogilvy Washington said the following:
“This is the type of work we dream about doing, hitting the sweet spot of our experience in social marketing, research, creative execution and social media,”
The PRNews Case Study went further to share insights that informed the campaign. “In the creation of OK2TALK, we faced a challenging proposition: How can a communications campaign break through and convince teens and young adults to talk about mental health and seek help if they need it? Here are five PR tips that worked for us.
In the first month of the campaign $6.9 million in free airtime was donated and the Tumblr site saw over 290,000 unique visits. However, the best stat of all is that, to date, more than 82,000 people have clicked “Get Help” on the OK2TALK.org site, accessing mental health and suicide prevention resources.
All of our work is described with the same adjective. Powerful. We operate as full strategic partners with our clients. This approach is the direct result of our heritage as part of one of the world’s premier agencies, Ogilvy Public Relations.
